Position: Head Chef

About the Role:
As the Head Chef, you’re the backbone of our kitchen operations. You’ll lead the kitchen, setting the standard for quality, flavor, and presentation. You’ll be the first in charge, taking the reins to create delicious dishes that leave a lasting impression on our customers.
Your main mission? Ensure every dish that leaves the kitchen is up to our high standards and satisfies our guests. You’ll work with a talented team, guiding them to bring out their best and keep our kitchen running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Leadership
- Take charge of all kitchen activities, from planning menus to plating the dishes.
- Direct, motivate, and support the kitchen staff to ensure a seamless service.
- Divide tasks efficiently, and keep a close eye on the progress to make sure everything is on track.
Quality Control
- Inspect every dish before it goes out, ensuring it meets our quality standards.
- Maintain a consistent level of quality and presentation in all dishes.
Innovation and Trends
- Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and bring fresh ideas to the kitchen.
- Incorporate seasonal ingredients and new techniques to keep our menu exciting and innovative.
Safety and Compliance
- Implement safety and sanitation practices in line with health regulations.
- Ensure everyone in the kitchen follows health and safety standards, including HACCP protocols.
Operational Efficiency
- Use your culinary knowledge to optimize kitchen processes and workflows.
- Manage kitchen supplies, inventory, and work within budget guidelines.
Tech Savvy
- Use computer programs like MS Office, restaurant management software, and POS systems for smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Proven Experience: At least 5 years as a Head Chef or in a similar role.
- Leadership Skills: Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage a kitchen team.
- Culinary Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of current culinary trends and optimized kitchen workflows.
- Computer Skills: Comfortable using essential software like MS Office and POS systems.
- Health & Safety Knowledge: HACCP certification or equivalent health and safety training.
- Education: Degree in Culinary Science or a related certificate.
